Defining Project-Object Mappings for a Cleansing Project
Project-Object mapping in a cleansing project defines:
*Which attributes from the Consolidation table should be sent to the cleanser
*What should be brought back from the cleanser and to which attributes
Use the following procedure to define the mapping of attributes. The procedure remains identical for both the single and Gold models or the cleanser only models.
*To define project-object mappings for a cleansing project
1. On the Menu toolbar, click Define > Data Quality > Project Mapping.
2. In Filter by Project, select the cleansing project.
3. Click Project-Object Mapping, and then click Add New Mapping and do the following:
a. In Staging Object, select the consolidation object.
b. Select the appropriate Staging Object Attribute.
The Project is selected by default.
c. Select the Project Attribute defined from the rules.
4. Click Save Mapping.
5. Repeat steps 3 to 5 until you have mapped all the attributes and windowkeys.
The basic configuration for cleansing is ready. Now if you enter data into the Consolidation table, webMethods OneData performs the cleansing according to the attributes defined.
6. On the Menu toolbar, click Manage Data > Consolidation Object. Add the data to the Consolidation Object table.
7. Click Save.
This enables you to connect to the webMethods Locate server and retrieve the outbound attributes back.
