Application Log Configurations
API Gateway collects and stores logs from different components such as:
API Gateway server
API Data Store
Dashboard
Platform (WSStack, OSGI etc)
Logs are generated by each of these components and stored in different locations. The log data is very important as it can be used to:
Monitor the run time anomalies in API Gateway
Identify the root cause of failures in API Gateway
Identify the configuration issues in API Gateway
Detect log patterns across the nodes in cluster
API Gateway provides an simplified solution with a one stop place to perform the following tasks:
Set the log levels for different components
Download logs
Aggregate the logs from different components
Note:
The log aggregation is done across all the configured cluster nodes. The log level configuration is propagated across all the nodes in a cluster.
