API Gateway collects and stores logs from different components such as:
*API Gateway server
*API Data Store
*Dashboard
*Platform (WSStack, OSGI etc)
Logs are generated by each of these components and stored in different locations. The log data is very important as it can be used to:
*Monitor the run time anomalies in API Gateway
*Identify the root cause of failures in API Gateway
*Identify the configuration issues in API Gateway
*Detect log patterns across the nodes in cluster
API Gateway provides an simplified solution with a one stop place to perform the following tasks:
*Set the log levels for different components
*Download logs
*Aggregate the logs from different components
Note:
The log aggregation is done across all the configured cluster nodes. The log level configuration is propagated across all the nodes in a cluster.
*View the logs from different components in a single place and perform data mining
