Modifying Components of REST Service
You use the Components page to modify the reusable elements that you can use in resources and methods.
*To modify Components of REST Service asset
1. In CentraSite Business UI, access the Advanced Search panel in one of the following ways:
*Click the Browse link in the upper-left corner of the menu bar.
*Click the Search icon next to the Scope list. The default search scope is Assets.
This displays a list of assets in the Search Results page.
2. In the Additional Search Criteria list, select Asset Types.
3. To search for the assets of type, REST Service, click Choose.
This opens the Choose Asset Types dialog box.
4. In the Choose Asset Types dialog box, select the Assets option button, and perform the following:
a. Click the chevron next to Assets option button.
A list of defined asset types in CentraSite is displayed.
b. In the list of asset types, select REST Service.
c. Click OK.
A list of defined REST Service assets is displayed in the Search Results page.
5. Click the REST Service you want to modify the Components attributes.
This opens the REST Service details page. Also, the Actions bar displays a set of actions that are available for working with the REST Service.
6. On the actions bar of the REST Service details page, click Edit.
7. Select the Components profile. To modify the details of individual Components, follow these steps:
Note: 
*You cannot edit the component objects referred from Components in Resource and Methods.
*Deleting the component objects from Resource and Methods removes it only from the REST Resource and REST Method.
*You cannot delete a component object in Components, if it is referred in the Resource and Methods. You can delete the component objects from Components after every association is removed from the Resource and Methods.

Schemas
Modify an Existing Schema
a. In the list of Schemas, identify the Schema for which you want to modify the attributes.
b. Click the Edit icon.
This opens the Edit Schema dialog box.
c. In the Edit Schema dialog box, provide new values for the fields.
d. Click OK.
e. Repeat for each Schema that you want to modify.
Delete an Existing Schema
a. In the list of Schemas, identify the Schema you want to delete.
b. Click the Delete icon.
c. Repeat for each Schema that you want to delete.
Parameters
Modify an Existing Parameter
a. In the list of Parameters, identify the Parameter for which you want to modify the attributes.
b. Click the Edit icon.
This opens the Edit Parameter dialog box.
c. In the Edit Parameter dialog box, provide new values for the fields.
d. Click OK.
e. Repeat for each Parameter that you want to modify.
Delete an Existing Parameter
a. In the list of Parameters, identify the Parameter you want to delete.
b. Click the Delete icon.
c. Repeat for each Parameter that you want to delete.
Headers
Modify an Existing Header
a. In the list of Headers, identify the Header for which you want to modify the attributes.
b. Click the Edit icon.
This opens the Edit Header dialog box.
c. In the Edit Header dialog box, provide new values for the fields.
d. Click OK.
e. Repeat for each Header that you want to modify.
Delete an Existing Header
a. In the list of Headers, identify the Header you want to delete.
b. Click the Delete icon.
c. Repeat for each Header that you want to delete.
Examples
Modify an Existing Example
a. In the list of Examples, identify the Example for which you want to modify the attributes.
This displays icons for one or more actions that you can perform on the Example.
b. Click the Edit icon.
This opens the Edit Example dialog box.
c. In the Edit Example dialog box, provide new values for the fields.
d. Click OK.
e. Repeat for each Example that you want to modify.
Delete an Existing Example
a. In the list of Examples, identify the Example you want to delete.
b. Click the Delete icon.
c. Repeat for each Example that you want to delete.
Links
Modify an Existing Link
a. In the list of Links, identify the Link for which you want to modify the attributes.
This displays icons for one or more actions that you can perform on the Link.
b. Click the Edit icon.
This opens the Edit Link dialog box.
c. In the Edit Link dialog box, provide new values for the fields.
d. Click OK.
e. Repeat for each Link that you want to modify.
Delete an Existing Link
a. In the list of Links, identify the Link you want to delete.
b. Click the Delete icon.
c. Repeat for each Link that you want to delete.
Callbacks
Modify an Existing Callback
a. In the list of Callbacks, identify the Callback for which you want to modify the attributes.
b. Click the Edit icon.
This opens the Edit Callback dialog box.
c. In the Edit Callback dialog box, provide new values for the fields.
d. Click OK.
e. Repeat for each Callback that you want to modify.
Delete an Existing Callback
a. In the list of Callbacks, identify the Callback you want to delete.
b. Click the Delete icon.
c. Repeat for each Callback that you want to delete.
Requests
Modify an Existing Request
Note:
You can modify or delete existing schemas and examples while modifying an existing request.
a. In the list of Requests, identify the Request for which you want to modify the attributes.
This displays icons for one or more actions that you can perform on the Request.
b. Click the Edit icon.
This opens the Edit Request dialog box.
c. In the Edit Request dialog box, provide new values for the fields.
d. Click OK.
e. Repeat for each Request that you want to modify.
Delete an Existing Request
a. In the list of Requests, identify the Request you want to delete.
This displays icons for one or more actions that you can perform on the Request.
b. Click the Delete icon.
c. Repeat for each Request that you want to delete.
Responses
Modify an Existing Response
Note:
You can modify or delete existing schemas, examples, links, and callbacks while modifying an existing response.
a. In the list of Response, identify the Response for which you want to modify the attributes.
b. Click the Edit icon.
This opens the Edit Response dialog box.
c. In the Edit Responses dialog box, provide new values for the fields.
d. Click OK.
e. Repeat for each Response that you want to modify.
Delete an Existing Response
a. In the list of Responses, identify the Response you want to delete.
b. Click the Delete icon.
c. Repeat for each Response that you want to delete.
8. Click Save.
