Command Central Architecture
In Command Central, you manage multiple product installations using Platform Manager as an agent. Software AG strongly recommends that the Command Central you use to manage the product installations in the development, test, and production environments is always on the current Command Central release version. This Command Central has a Platform Manager installation that is on the same release version. Each product installation that you manage with Command Central has a separate Platform Manager with the same release version as the products in the managed installation. For example, if you manage a product installation with version 10.11, the Platform Manager that you use to manage this installation is also version 10.11.
With the current Command Central release version, you get all the new functions supported by Command Central. However, some of the new functions are not supported when managing product installations with lower versions, because the product plug-in for Platform Manager might not support the function. The following diagram shows a Command Central and Platform Manager installation with the current version that are used to manage multiple installations, where each installation has a Platform Manager with the same version as the product installations:
