Viewing Deployment History
The Deployment History contains information about Virtual Services and their dependent objects like applications that CentraSite has published or unpublished to gateways like API Gateway.
To view the Deployment History, you must have the CentraSite Administrator, Organization Administrator, Operations Administrator, Mediator Publisher or API Gateway Administrator role.
*To view Deployment History
1. In the CentraSite Business UI activity bar, click Logs.
2. Select Deployment History from the Applicable Scopes drop-down list. By default, Policy Logs is selected in Applicable Scopes.
3. Optional. To view a specific log entry, specify the required information for each of the displayed fields:
Field
Description
Keyword
A pattern string that describes the names of the objects whose log entries you want to view.
You can provide the exact name or use a pattern string consisting of a character sequence.
Leave the Keyword empty to view all names.
Applicable Types
The asset type whose log entries you want to view.
To view the log entries for a specific asset type, select an applicable type from the drop-down list.
The Applicable Types drop-down list for Deployment History has the following options:
*Application
*Virtual Service
*Virtual REST Service
*Virtual XML Service
Advanced Search
Gateway Type. The gateway type whose log entries you want to view.
To view the log entries for a specific gateway type, select an applicable type from the drop-down list.
Gateway Name. The name of the gateway on which the Virtual Service is deployed.
To view the log entries for a specific gateway, select a gateway name from the drop-down list.
Execution Date. The time period that you want to view the logs for.
When you select a specific date range, CentraSite lists all the logs in the specified time interval.
Leave the From and To fields empty to view all the available log entries.
Time Range. The time range for which you want to view the logs.
To view the logs for a specific time range, select a desired range from the drop-down list.
The available Time Range options are as follows:
*All
*Last 30 days
*Last One week
*Last 1 day
*Last 1 hour
The log entries are displayed in the Search Results page.
4. To view details for a particular entry in the returned deployment history list, click the name of the deployment history.
The Deployment Information page displays the following information:
Field
Description
Name
The name of the deployed object.
Object Type
The type of the deployed object. Example: Virtual Service, Virtual REST Service
Version
The version identifier of the deployed object.
Action
The deployment action of an object on gateways like API Gateway.
The possible values are: Deployed, Undeployed.
Execution Date
The date in which the object is deployed, redeployed, or undeployed.
Gateway Name
The name of the gateway on which the object is deployed.
Gateway Type
The type of the gateway on which the object is deployed.
Status
The deployment status of an object on gateways like API Gateway.
The possible values are: Success, Failure.
Message
The deployment message for the object.
