webMethods SWIFT FIN Module 6.1 Service Pack 1 is supported on all platforms supported by webMethods SWIFT FIN Module 6.1.
To install this service pack, do the following.
1. Download the latest webMethods Installer from the webMethods Advantage Web site at http://advantage.webmethods.com.
2. If you are going to install the webMethods SWIFT FIN Module on an already installed Integration Server, shut down the Integration Server.
Important! You must have administrator privileges on the webMethods Integration Server to execute these procedures. If you do not have administrator privileges, have your webMethods Integration Server administrator perform these procedures.
3. Start the Installer.
4. During the install process, the Installer prompts you for an installation directory. If an Integration Server is already installed on the computer, specify your existing webMethods installation directory. If you are installing the webMethods SWIFT FIN Module 6.1 Service Pack 1 and the Integration Server at the same time, specify an installation directory for webMethods software or accept the default directory.
5. If you are installing the service pack and webMethods SWIFT FIN Module 6.1 at the same time, in the component selection list, select eStandards > webMethods SWIFT FIN Module 6.1 to install webMethods SWIFT FIN Module 6.1 along with Service Pack 1.
In addition, select any required webMethods components you have not installed.
6. If you are installing the Service Pack 1 over an existing installation of the SWIFT FIN Module 6.1:
a. Back up the following webMethods SWIFT FIN Module 6.1 packages: WmFIN, WmFINDev, WmFINMarketPractice, WmFINMessages, WmFINSamples, WmFINTransport, WmCASmf, and WmIPCore.
b. In the component selection list, navigate to eStandards > webMethods SWIFT FIN Module 6.1. Select the Service Pack 1 for installation.
7. Click Next until you see the installation complete message.
8. Click Close.
9. Start the Integration Server.
10.If you are already using SWIFT FIN Module 6.1, you must re-import all the message types that you are using by invoking the wm.fin.dev:importFINItems service.
Please note that before re-importing the message types, you should delete the existing IS document types in the wm.fin.doc.<version>.<category> folders in the Developer to avoid any problem that may arise due to the existence of an older version.
If you are using a previous version of the message types and you would like to upgrade to SWIFT 2006 messages, see section 8.1 Upgrading to SWIFT 2006 Messages.
11.If you are a new user of SWIFT FIN Module 6.1, see the webMethods SWIFT FIN Module Installation and User’s Guide 6.1 for instructions to configure and use the SWIFT FIN Module. To use the SWIFT 2006 messages, use the nov06 version of the message types.
To upgrade to SWIFT 2006 messages:
If you are using a previous version of the message types, and would like to upgrade to SWIFT 2006 messages, import all the 2006 message types that you would like to use, and then update the TPA and the mapping services.
1.Import the 2006 message types for the message types you are using:
a. Import all the message types by invoking the wm.fin.dev:importFINItems service using the webMethods Developer.
b. In the input dialog box for importFINItems, input the following:
msgType = <Message type. For example, 535>
version = <nov06>
createDocType = false
createProcessingRule = false
createTPA = false
A new nov06 folder, wm.fin.doc.nov06, is created in the WmFINMessages package with the new IS document types.
2.Update the TPA for the message types using the Trading Networks Console Agreement Details screen:
- For the inbound messages, the Agreement ID is in the format: MT<msg type>. For example, MT535.
- For the outbound messages, the Agreement ID is the name of the TN document type for the backend system format document. For example, InternalCorporateAction.
a. Change the Agreement Status to Proposed. Open the TPA.
b. Modify the TPA's SWIFT-specific input parameters using the Input for <IS Document Type> dialog:
1) Click the Set Inputs dialog button (located on the right side of the Agreement Details screen). The Input for <IS Document Type> dialog appears.
2) Set the ISDocumentName parameter to point to the corresponding document type in the nov06 version folder, wm.fin.doc.nov06.
3) Set the Version parameter to "nov06".
4) If the ValidateNetworkRules parameter is set to Yes, update the NetworkValidationService parameter to point to the service in the wm.fin.doc.nov06 folder.
5) If the ValidateMarketPracticeRules parameter is set to Yes, update the MarketPracticeRulesService parameter to point to the service in the wm.fin.doc.nov06 folder.
6) Click OK to save your input parameter changes.
c. Click OK to save the information on the Agreement Details. Change the Agreement Status to Agreed.
3.Update the inbound and outbound mapping services using webMethods Developer. If you want to use a modified SWIFT 2006 message type, remap the elements of the message type to the corresponding elements of the new nov06 version of the IS doc type.
For more information on importing the message types, updating the TPA, and mapping the message types, see the webMethods SWIFT FIN Module Installation and User’s Guide.
To uninstall only the WebMethods SWIFT FIN Module 6.1 Service Pack 1:
Important! The following steps are valid only if you would like to uninstall only the Service Pack 1 and revert back to your previous installed version of the SWIFT FIN Module 6.1. If you are a new user of SWIFT FIN Module, and have installed the webMethods SWIFT FIN Module 6.1 along with the Service Pack 1, do not try to uninstall just the Service Pack 1, you must uninstall the entire SWIFT FIN Module 6.1.
1. Shut down the Integration Server that hosts the webMethods SWIFT FIN Module.
2. Start the webMethods Uninstaller for your operating system as described in the webMethods Installation Guide.
3. Select “webMethods release installation_directory” as the program to uninstall, where release and installation_directory are the release and installation directory of the Integration Server on which the webMethods SWIFT FIN Module Service Pack 1 is installed.
4. In the component selection list, navigate to eStandards and select webMethods SWIFT FIN Module > Service Pack 1 as the program to uninstall.
5. The uninstaller removes all webMethods SWIFT FIN Module 6.1 Service Pack 1 related files that were installed in the IntegrationServer\packages directory and reverts back to the previous installed version of the SWIFT FIN Module.
6. Re-import all the message types that you are using by invoking the wm.fin.dev:importFINItems service.
SWIFT FIN messages do not support UTF-8. FIN only supports the X-character set. It uses a custom character set, which is a subset of 7-bit ASCII (or optionally a subset of EBCDIC code page 037). This means that no field in a SWIFT document can contain accented or multibyte (non-ASCII) characters. The webMethods SWIFT FIN Module enforces this limit and will generate an error instead of sending the document to the SWIFT network. Users are cautioned to normalize their data to ASCII before mapping it to SWIFT documents.
This service pack does not require an updated Language Pack. It might contain new messages and these messages will appear in English. Language packs containing support for other languages, when available, can be installed at any time using webMethods Installer.
