webMethods SWIFTNet Module

Release Notes

webMethods SWIFTNet Module Version 6.0.1 Service Pack 1

webMethods is pleased to introduce Service Pack 1 for the webMethods SWIFTNet Module Version 6.0.1. Together with the industry leading webMethods Fabric, the webMethods SWIFTNet Module 6.0.1 enables financial institutions to exchange messages securely through the SWIFTNet FileAct and InterAct messaging solutions.

In addition to all existing fixes for the SWIFTNet Module 6.0.1, Service Pack 1 provides the following enhancements.

Store and Forward Mode Support for InterAct and FileAct Services

The SWIFTNet Module now provides store and forward mode support for both InterAct and FileAct services. SWIFT InterAct and FileAct services can work in either real-time mode or store and forward mode. In real-time mode, both the requestor of a service, and the responder to that service, must be online at the same time. However, when using store and forward mode, the requestor of a service and the responder to that service do not have to be online at the same time, providing much greater flexibility in managing the use of SWIFT services. This service pack enables users of the SWIFTNet Module to take advantage of this SWIFTNet feature.

Improved Documentation

The webMethods SWIFTNet Module Installation and User's Guide has been enhanced to describe all publicly supported services in the SWIFTNet Module, and to better illustrate how these services are used together. For example, the documentation now includes illustrations to show how the sample services can be used to choreograph a series of primitive service calls to perform complete SWIFTNet InterAct and FileAct services. The documentation includes descriptions of client-side and server-side transaction processing for both InterAct and FileAct services in both real-time and store-and-forward mode.
