Step 2: Create Trading Partner Profiles and Trading Partner Agreements
Define profiles for your enterprise and the trading partners with whom you want to exchange HL7 version 2.x messages. A trading partner is any person or organization with whom you want to conduct business electronically. In HL7 Module, a trading partner is defined by several criteria that you specify in a trading partner profile, including company name and identifying information, contact information, and delivery methods. In addition to specifying trading partner profiles for all of your trading partners, you must specify a profile for your own organization. For more information, see Defining Trading Networks Profiles.
At start up, HL7 Module creates a default trading partner agreement (TPA) that contains HL7-specific information. For information about defining TPAs, see Defining HL7 Trading Partner Agreements.
