7.0  Platform Support

This feature pack is supported on both version 6.0.1 and version 6.1 of the webMethods Integration Server.

8.0  Installation

For steps to install webMethods HIPAA Module 6.0.2 Feature Pack 2, see the “Installing the webMethods HIPAA Module” chapter in the webMethods HIPAA Module Installation and User’s Guide.

9.0 Globalization

Because the HIPAA Module was designed to support primarily U.S. regulatory compliance, webMethods has performed only limited testing with non-ASCII data and character encodings and non-English environments. The HIPAA Module does make use of the webMethods Integration Server’s global support and thus can be interoperated with other webMethods components in a global environment. Attempts to store, process, or publish non-English or non-ASCII data through the HIPAA Module might lead to problems with your EDI partners or other HIPAA-specific operations. You should not need to perform this sort of processing during normal operation.

webMethods HIPAA Module 6.0.2 Feature Pack 2 conforms to the international standards of webMethods, which require: operation in any country, locale, or language configuration as listed in the webMethods Installation Guide; support for character encodings; and proper formatting, display, and validation of data (such as number and date formats). These features have been tested in this release and any known issues are listed below.

9.1 Configuration

If you expect to display non-English data in your webMethods tools, make sure an appropriate font is installed in your operating environment. If you see hollow boxes or black squares where you expect to see non-English data, modify your JRE font.properties file to reference an appropriate font. For information on modifying your font.properties file, see the Oracle Java website. For instructions, see:

http://docs.oracle.com/javase/1.4.2/docs/guide/intl/fontprop.html

http://www.unicode.org/help/display_problems.html

9.2 Known Globalization Issues

None.
