For late-breaking critical information, refer to the Critical Information area on the webMethods Advantage Web site.
- Starting with ANSI X12 4020, ANSI X12 provides a repetition separator to separate repeated occurrences of elements or composites. We do not support the repetition separator in this release.
- The user needs to persist EDI data in TN when functional acknowledgement reconciliation is performed.
For other known issues and troubleshooting information about webMethods EDI Module, go to the webMethods Advantage Knowledge Base.
- Certain EDI Standards, such as UCS, VICS, and EANCOM, restrict the default standard allowed code values using alternate code sets. Support for alternate code sets was first implemented in webMethods Integration Server 6.1 SP1. If users migrate from webMethods 6.1 to 6.5.2, schemas installed in 6.1 might be using alternate code sets while schemas installed in 6.5.2 might not. For consistency, we recommend that users re-generate EDI schemas created in 6.1.
For information about enhancements and fixes in webMethods EDI Module 6.5.2, see the webMethods EDI Module 6.5.2 Enhancements and Fixes document on the webMethods Bookshelf.
- The WmEDIforTN demo and the WmEDIINT demo are deprecated in this release. They have been moved to the Knowledge Base Samples area on the webMethods Advantage Web site.
- The EDI Module supported PGP-encryption as a part of the VAN connectivity to ICC.net. This support for PGP-encryption is deprecated; it will not be available in a future release of the EDI Module.
As required by the EDI standards supported by the webMethods
EDI Module
version 6.5.2, ASCII or a subset of ASCII character set is supported. Extended
character sets may be used in X12 and UN/EDIFACT if communicating parties
agree. Those extended character sets have not been specifically tested but
should work reliably.
webMethods EDI Module is provided with an English user interface, messages, and documentation. No language pack is available in this
release.
If you expect to display non-English data in your webMethods tools, make sure an appropriate font is installed in your operating environment. If you see hollow boxes or black squares where you expect to see non-English data, modify your JRE font.properties file to reference an appropriate font. For information on modifying your font.properties file, go to Sun's Java website. For instructions, see:
