Built-In Services For Connections
The PeopleSoft Adapter uses adapter connections to define how its adapter services connect to PeopleSoft systems. Each PeopleSoft Adapter connection contains a set of connection parameters, including the release of the PeopleTools version to which the adapter will connect, and the logon parameters that the adapter requires to connect to the PeopleSoft system.
You configure PeopleSoft Adapter connections for use with adapter services. You must configure an adapter connection before you can configure an adapter service.
You configure connections using the Integration Server Administrator. For instructions for configuring and managing PeopleSoft Adapter connections, see Adapter Connections.
Important:You can have only one PeopleSoft Adapter connection enabled at a time. If you have one connection enabled but you need to configure or use a different connection, you must set up your adapter's environment again to work with the new connection. See Setting Up Your Adapter's Environment for details. To support using the PeopleSoft Adapter with multiple PeopleSoft instances simultaneously, you must have a separate Integration Server and PeopleSoft Adapter installed and configured for each instance of PeopleSoft.
