JUMP is a deprecated protocol used in previous Business Analytics releases for requests to and responses from Business Analytics to invoke mashables or mashups. However, JUMP is still used extensively in the Business Analytics platform APIs.

JUMP is based on the JSON (JavaScript Object Notation) format to provide a compact wire presence. JSON represents objects as a hierarchy of name/value pairs using braces ({ }) and other simple delimiters to define the syntax. Values can be simply types, objects or arrays.
