Insert Pie Charts in a dashboard

You can insert a Pie Chart in your Dashboard dashboard.

A Pie Chart can display one numeric KPI iterated via a dimension (text or date dimension).

Procedure

1. Create or open a dashboard in MashZone NextGen Dashboard.

2. Click the

Pie Chart component icon. The selected component is inserted as simple, graphic block in the dashboard and the properties dialog is displayed.

3. Click the

Assign Data icon to edit the data source assignment. See Assign data sources to Pie chart for details.

4. Click the

Configure filter icon to specify filter conditions. See Define filters for dashboard components for details.

5. Enter an optional component Name on the Config tab.

6. Set the Container properties. See Hide or display component header and border for details.

7. Activate the Auto Refresh option to set the automatic data retrieval for the component.

8. Enter an optional Chart Title for the displayed chart of the component.

9. Select a Inner Radius to display a inner circle with the selected radius.

10. Select in the Values drop-down menu the kind of display for the displayed KPIs.

11. Select in the Values Position drop-down menu the position where the KPI values are displayed. Available positions are Inside and Outside of the Pie Chart.

12. Activate the Legend option to display a legend in the chart component.

13. Specify Actions for the component, if required. See Specify actions for dashboard components for details.

14. Specify URL selections for the component, if required. See Use dynamic URL selection for details.

A Pie Chart will be displayed with real data of the assigned data source.
