Software AG Designer now offers several different options to choose from when adding the HTTP client connectivity plug-in to your project: an option that uses application-specific event definitions, transports and mapping configurations, and a generic option that uses generic Apama event definitions and a chain configuration to invoke HTTP services with JSON payloads. For the generic option, the HTTP client adds a reference to com.apama.util.AnyExtractor which is useful for easily extracting data from an any type.
