This section describes how to set preferences for the supplied test function.

The preferences for Application Testing are set in the Preferences dialog box of Eclipse.
To show the preferences for Application Testing
From the menu, choose .
In the tree of the resulting dialog box, expand the Software AG node and then select the Testing node.
The Testing page is displayed.
To set logging preferences
Display the Testing page as described above.
Select Log unit tests.
Unit test log files will be created automatically each time a unit test is executed. The log files are stored in the Testing-History folder within the NaturalONE project in which the unit test was executed and include a .tstlog file extension.
Note
If this option is not selected, the log files will not be created.
Select to save the preferences.
When testing a subprogram, a message may be displayed indicating that a local resource has not been uploaded to the server and synchronized with the server resource. You can set preferences for this option.
To set server synchronization preferences
Display the Testing page as described above.
Select one of the options listed in Upload resource(s) when they are not in sync with server.
These options are:

| Never | Resource(s) are never uploaded to the server when not in sync. |
| Prompt | A window is displayed to select an option. |
Select to save the preferences.
When you select the Testing > Subprogram Server Connections node in the left-side tree, you can manage your Natural Subprogram Server connections.
Select the button to define a new Subprogram Server connection. The following information must be defined for a Subprogram Server connection:
Host name: The host name of the Subprogram Server.
Port number: The port number of the Subprogram Server.
Connection name: The name of the Subprogram Server in the list
of available connections. By default, it is set to
<hostname>-<portNumber>. You can enter a more specific
connection name if required.
User ID: The user ID for the Subprogram Server connection.
Password: Optional. If Natural Security is active on the Subprogram Server, specify the required password in this text box.
Use SSL/TLS: Optional. Must be enabled when connecting to an SSL/TLS-secured Subprogram Server.
Use OIDC Authentication: Optional. When enabled, authentication is performed using OpenID Connect (OIDC). The token is obtained through the OpenID Connect security preferences (see OpenID Connect in Setting the Preferences), and the default browser opens to complete the OIDC authentication flow.
Test Connection: Use this button to verify that the Subprogram Server can be connected successfully.
Select the button to open the selected Subprogram Server connection and change its settings.
Select the button to delete the selected Subprogram Server connection.
