Natural for Visual Studio Code 1.2.1 | Prerequisites | Required Environment

Required Environment
To use Natural for Visual Studio Code, Java 21 or later must be installed. Both the Natural language server used by the source editor and the Natural debug adapter run as Java processes in the background and require this Java version.
*To check the installed Java version, enter java --version in the command prompt.
*Set the JAVA_HOME environment variable to the Java installation directory. To check its current value, enter %JAVA_HOME% or %JRE_HOME% in the command prompt.
Note:
If JAVA_HOME does not point to Java 21 or later, the language server cannot start. As a result, the Natural sources are shown without syntax highlighting, and building, executing and debugging a Natural application fails. See Troubleshooting for more information.
