Natural for Visual Studio Code 1.2.1 | The Natural Map Editor | Map Properties View

Map Properties View
The Map Properties view displays the properties of the currently selected element, grouped into categories. Its contents reflect the current selection:
*When you click the screen area, the properties of the map screen are displayed.
*When you select a field, its properties are displayed.
*When you select a single array occurrence, its properties, such as its index, position, and status, are displayed.
*When you select all occurrences of an array, the properties of the array data field itself are displayed.
*When you select multiple fields, the properties of the field that you selected last are displayed.
Depending on the selected element, the Map Properties view provides the following categories:

The Array Info category of a data field contains the number of dimensions; one group for each dimension with its start index, upper bound, and number of occurrences; the layout (horizontal or vertical); the grouping settings for multidimensional arrays; and the line, column, and group spacing. When you change the number of dimensions, the map editor rebuilds the array and immediately displays the sections for the additional dimensions.
You edit a property directly in the view. The semantic map model validates the change and adjusts any dependent properties. For example, when you change the format of a data field, the model adjusts its length. When you change the number of occurrences of an array, the model adjusts the array bounds. If you enter an invalid value, the model rejects it and retains the previous property value.
The view displays properties that you cannot change for the selected element as read-only. For example, the name and format of a system field or a field taken from a view are read-only.
