Natural for Visual Studio Code 1.2.1 | Prerequisites | Maintaining Launches

Maintaining Launches

NatDebugDefault Configuration
NatAttachDefault Configuration
A launch defines the Natural Development Server (NDV) on which a Natural application is executed, as well as the user, session parameters, and code page that are used. All launch configurations are stored in the launch.json file in the workspace's .vscode folder.
You can maintain a launch in the following ways:
*In the Natural Properties Manager, by choosing maintain launches in the Connection group of the Environment panel, which is also where the project's launch is selected. See also The Natural Properties Manager.
*In the Run and Debug view of Visual Studio Code, which uses the same launch.json file.
Adapt the launch to your specific requirements. You can also duplicate the launch to create configurations for different environments, for example NatDebugLinux for debugging on Linux and NatDebugMainframe for debugging on mainframes, together with the corresponding attach counterparts NatAttachLinux and NatAttachMainframe.
The following launch configuration types are provided:
* NatDebugDefault Configuration - A launch configuration of type launch, which starts a Natural application from Visual Studio Code and debugs it. See Starting a Debug Session.
* NatAttachDefault Configuration - A launch configuration of type attach, which attaches the debugger to a Natural application that is already running. See Debugging with an Attach Launch.
Note:
The parameters which are marked as Do not modify in the following sections are required by the Natural debug adapter and must not be changed.
