Use the Go to Definition command to navigate to the definition of a variable or object.

If the variable is defined in the DEFINE DATA section of the current source, the editor selects this inline definition. Otherwise, the editor opens the source with the found definition ans selects the corresponding field definition.

When you apply the Go to Definition command to an object, the editor opens this external object.
