DDM Outline View
While the DDM editor is active, the DDM Outline view in the Explorer side bar shows the structure of the DDM:
<DDM name> the DDM with its type (ADABAS, SQL, VSAM, DL1)
|- <DDM name> the header with database id and file number
|- <field> a field with its format and length
'- <group> a group field, which nests the fields below it
|- <field>
'- <field>
You can expand and collapse groups. The outline does not show comment lines from the source.
Select a field in the outline to select the corresponding row in the table. Select a row in the table to highlight the corresponding field in the outline.
The context menu of a field provides the Insert, Cut, Copy, Paste, and Delete commands. These commands work in the same way as their counterparts in the table.
Note:
The built-in Outline view of Visual Studio Code does not support table-based custom editors. Therefore, the dedicated DDM Outline view shows the structure of the DDM.
