Natural for Visual Studio Code 1.2.1 | Building the Natural Application

Building the Natural Application
You develop a Natural application in the workspace and build it on the Natural Development Server (NDV) to which the project is connected. The build process uses the Ant deploy framework because it can build Natural applications with all project dependencies.
Before you build the application, make sure that the Natural project meets the build prerequisites.
Build Commands
Use the Natural command toolbar in the editor title area to modify Natural sources and create Natural objects:
The Natural command toolbar in the editor title area
You can also access all from the command palette (Ctrl+Shift+P):
*Natural Server: Build
*Natural Server: Build All
*Natural Server: Save
*Natural Server: Stow
Command
Meaning
Build
Builds the Natural application on the Natural Development Server (NDV) based on modifications and dependencies in the project. The command transfers the modified sources and catalogs the required sources.
Build All
Transfers and catalogs all Natural sources in the project.
Save
Saves the active source on the Natural Development Server (NDV).
Stow
Stows the active source on the Natural Development Server (NDV).
The Problems view shows errors that the Natural server reports during a build, in the same way as errors from local parsing. See Showing Error Situations.
Note:
A build requires a launch configuration for the project. If you have not selected a launch configuration in the Natural Properties Manager, the build commands fail. See Preparing a Natural Project.
For information on how to execute and debug the application, see Debugging the Natural Application.
