Natural for Visual Studio Code 1.2.1 | The Natural Map Editor | Array Data Fields

Array Data Fields
The canvas displays an array data field with one entry area for each occurrence, labeled with its array index. An invisible bounding box surrounds all occurrences of the array. Select one or all occurrences to display the resize handles of the bounding box. You can use these handles to add or remove occurrences.
*For an array with a vertical layout, drag the top or bottom resize handle to change the height of the bounding box and, consequently, the number of occurrences in dimension 1.
For a multidimensional array, you can also use the left and right resize handles to change the number of occurrences in dimension 2, which extends horizontally.
*For an array with a horizontal layout, resize handles are not available. Instead, use the Occurrences property in the Array Info section of the Map Properties view. See also Map Properties View.
When you resize an array, the map editor adjusts the upper bound of the affected dimension to the new number of occurrences. This keeps the generated Natural source consistent. The map editor then selects all occurrences of the array again.
You can also move individual occurrences on the canvas. When you move an occurrence, the array's invisible bounding box adjusts accordingly.
