These Release Notes inform you of the enhancements and new features provided with Version 3.5.3 of Entire Output Management; they cover the following topics:
Unless otherwise indicated, the information in these Release Notes applies to Version 3.5.3:
for both Entire Output Management (NOM) and the Output Management GUI Client (NGC),
on all supported platforms.
Natural add-on products are no longer delivered for the z/VSE and BS2000 operating systems.
Contact your local representative for assistance in planning and executing your rehosting from z/VSE or BS2000 to an alternative operating system.
Before you can install Entire Output Management on a mainframe computer, the following Software GmbH products must have been installed at your site:
Adabas Version 8 or above;
Natural Version 9.2.2 or above; the Natural installation must include the Software AG Editor component. We recommend to apply the current zaps. For further information, please refer to the Natural documentation.
Entire System Server Version 3.7.2 or above;
Entire System Server Version 2.1.16 for Linux/Windows, or above (optional; for Linux/Windows access);
System Automation Tools Version 3.5.3 or above;
Natural Security (optional);
EntireX Version 10.9 for z/OS or above (optional, for multi-node support);
Entire Network (optional, for multi-node support);
Before you can install Entire Output Management on a UNIX system, the following Software GmbH products must have been installed at your site:
Adabas Version 7.1 for Linux, or above;
Natural Version 9.2 for Linux, or above;
Entire System Server Version 2.1.16 for Linux, or above;
System Automation Tools Version 3.5.3, or above;
EntireX Version 10.9, or above (optional, for multi-node support and cross-platform access);
Entire Systems Management Adapter (ESA) Version 4.1.1, or above (optional, to access nodes on BS2000 Systems).
Output Management GUI Client Version 3.5.3. requires the following products:
Natural for Windows, Version 9.2 or above; Development version or Runtime version;
EntireX Version 10.9 or above; Development version or Runtime version;
Entire Output Management Version 3.5.3 or above for Mainframes/Linux.
Entire Output Management Version 3.5.3 does not support any Output Management GUI Client version below 3.5.3.
A migration of Entire Output Management to Version 3.5.3 is possible from Versions 3.5.2, 3.5.1 and 3.4.3, but not from earlier versions.

Output Management GUI Client does not require any migration.
All solved problems of version 3.5.2 of Entire Output Management (NOM) and Output Management GUI Client (NGC) are included in this version. The following cumulative fixes have been delivered for this version 3.5.3:

License checks, which have already been performed on UNIX systems, are now also performed on mainframes.
The NOM Monitor now checks the validy of the Entire Output Management license on mainframes. The license check by the NOM Monitor is performed daily (after midnight) and when the Monitor is started.
If the license is valid, a success message will be recorded in the monitor log.
If a warning occurs during the license check, the
monitor will not be shut down. A log message NOM0136 will
be recorded, and an email message will be sent to the recipients as specified
in the Monitor Defaults.
If an error occurs during the license check, the
monitor will be shut down. A log message NOM0137 will be recorded,
and an email message will be sent to the recipients as specified in the Monitor
Defaults.

The installation of the license file is part of the installation procedure .
A new function is available which allows you to move one or more printouts to the printout queue of another printer. See Moving a Printout to Another Printer.
Spool attribute symbols are now also available for the Destination attribute of the printer type WRTSPOOL.

The function for Listing Selected Archive Data Sets now allows you filter the archive data sets by creation date and expiration date.
NOMEX008 has been revised.
