This command is used to delete one or more source objects.
Note:
If the Natural profile parameter RECAT
is set to ON
, the
PURGE
command will be rejected for a source for which a
corresponding cataloged object exists.
If DDMs reside in a library of the FUSER
system file, they can be
deleted with the PURGE
command.

If you enter the |
PURGE object-name |
As object-name, you specify the name(s) of the object(s) to be deleted. You can only delete objects that are stored in the library to which you are currently logged on. If you wish to delete all objects whose names begin with a specific string of characters, use asterisk notation (*) for the object-name. |
