This document covers the following topics:
Entire Operations supports the same operating system platforms than Natural. See the Natural documentation.
If Natural Security is installed, access to Entire Operations is protected by the Natural Security facilities. Entire Operations-generated modules operate in, and are controlled by, the Natural Security system.
There is no specific memory requirement for operating the product.
Approximately 50 MB of hard-disk space is required for Entire Operations (without any Natural or Software AG Installer packages). This value depends on the installation hardware. On some platforms, it is higher. If you install Natural and/or other required products in one step with Entire Operations, see the installation documentation for these products for further information.
If you install Natural and/or other required products in one step with Entire Operations, see the installation documentation for these products for further information.
Entire Operations requires:
Natural for UNIX, version 8.3.0 or above;
Adabas for UNIX, version 6.1 or above.
Note:
Make sure that you have set OPTIONS=(TRUNCATION) for the database
containing the EOR system file.
With Entire Operations 5.4.3 the following products will be installed automatically:
Entire System Server (NPR) Version 5.4.3 or above
System Automation Tools (SAT) Version 3.4.3 or above;
EntireX Libraries Version 9.7 or above.
Entire Net-Work is required for any kind of multi-CPU constellation where remote partners (mainframe and/or UNIX and/or Windows) are involved.
EntireX Broker is required for any kind of multi-CPU constellation, if one partner is a UNIX or Windows system or different UNIX or Windows systems are involved. EntireX Broker is not required, if you are running Entire Operations on a UNIX or Windows platform and controlling the job networks on a mainframe system (see Platforms and Required Middleware).
It is recommended that you use the latest versions of the above listed Software AG products. You can view all available Software AG product versions and check the dates when their maintenance ends by visiting Software AG's Empower web site at http://documentation.softwareag.com/. Go to Products > Product Version Availability.
During the installation of Entire Operations, the Software AG Installer prompts you to enter the path to a valid license file. The license file is an XML file which is delivered by e-mail.
The components that can be installed with Entire Operations are based on your license file.
Note:
The Software AG Installer does not check all information in the
license file. All license checks are done, however, when the product itself is
started.
