You can use Natural's Single Point of Development with different versions of Natural on a variety of platforms. Depending on the server environment you are using together with Natural for Windows Version 6.3 (client), the editors offer different features. This document gives you an overview of the features available with each editor.

If you use any of the features and Natural versions listed and marked in the table above (for example, a level greater than 9), the source code of the relevant data area is converted into a new source format. A data area generated in the new source format cannot be read by the data area editor of a Natural version that does not support the new format.
Exception: On UNIX server platforms, large arrays, X-arrays, large variables and dynamic variables can be read in both source formats depending on their size. If they exceed a specific length (for example, variables with more than four digits), the new source format is used.
