Dropped Features

Features Dropped with a Future Natural Version

The following features will be discontinued or will no longer be supported in a future version of Natural:

German Error Messages

Natural NATxxxx error messages in the German language are no longer maintained and will be removed from the Natural system with the next release of Natural.

Natural Roll Server and Authorized Services Manager

The NATRSM92 and NATASM92 modules will no longer be provided with the next release of Natural, scheduled for release in October 2027.

As an alternative, use the new NATRSM93 and NATASM93 modules.

VSAM with Natural Security

This is the last version of Natural Security that supports FSEC system file on VSAM. Support for VSAM will be discontinued in the next version of Natural Security, scheduled for release in October 2027.

After upgrading Natural Security on z/OS to a version higher than 9.2.5, you will not be able to use VSAM with Natural Security.

As an alternative, you can migrate your FSEC system file from VSAM to Adabas.

Transition Period Logon

Support for the Transition Period Logon parameter (General Options) will be discontinued in the next version of Natural Security, scheduled for release in October 2027. It is supported up to version 9.2.5 and will be removed in subsequent versions on z/OS.

If Transition Period Logon is currently active (value Y) in your FSEC, please migrate your required library, user, and file definitions to Natural Security before the support ends.
