The Unix System Services (USS) always come with the same version of z/OS.

Java

We recommend that you use AdoptOpenJDK, not Oracle Java:

IBM J9 1.8.0_261

Note:
You can find out your current Java version by executing java -version in the USS shell.

Jopaz

JPZ-x.x.x.x000, where x.x.x.x is the Jopaz version.

DB DynamicMVSIndexed Jopaz version 1.0

COBOL

COBOL 4.x or newer

Note:
If you want to use Jopaz with Adabas or Db2 databases, you must read the chapters Installation Parameters for Db2 and Installing Jopaz for Adabas before you begin your Jopaz installation.
