Generating a SYSOBJH File on OpenSystems
Use the Natural Object Handler to accomplish this task.
*To generate a SYSOBJH file:
1. Select the SYSEXDDM folder, as this is where the DDM files are located.
2. Click Tools -> Development Tools -> Object Handler...
3. Select Unload....
4. Select the Unload objects into Natural work file(s) radio button and click Next.
5. Mark the Transfer format checkbox.
6. Enter or browse to the folder in which you want to store the unloaded files in the Unload file field.
7. Click the Use default options radio button and click Next.
8. Select the Do not use parameters radio button and click Next.
9. Select the Natural library object radio button and click Next.
10. Select the library name that contains your DDM definitions from the Library list box.
You may also enter a specific DBID and/or a specific FNR. If you leave these blank, all valid DDMs are returned.
11. Click the Details button.
12. Make sure that only DDM is marked in the Natural Object Types field and click OK.
13. Enter an object name (DDM) that you wish to create an extract for and click OK.
14. Click Next.
15. The screen will show the unload information. Click Next.
A message appears stating the status of the unload. If it is successful, a file is created on your system under the path and file name specified.
16. Click the Next button to complete the unload, and then close the application.
