Importing DataFlex or POWERFlex Table Definitions
The CONNX server for DataFlex, POWERFlex is a full-featured data server that translates SQL requests into native database requests. The ODBC driver makes the server transparent to the end user.
To import DataFlex table definitions:
1. Click the Import button in the CONNX Data Dictionary Manager window.
2. Select one of the following in the Import Type list box.
*DataFlex files from directory to import DataFlex table definitions.
*POWERFlex files from directory to import PowerFlex table definitions.
3. Specify a full path to the file directory (local or network) in the Enter a file directory name text box.
4. Select the Include Subdirectories check box to display the subdirectories.
All of the record layouts in the specified DataFlex/POWERFlex file are imported. No additional logon information is required.
5. Click the OK button.
6. Click the Add or Add All button to move the tables to the Select Tables for Import pane.
7. Click the OK button to import the selected tables into CONNX.
The DataFlex/POWERFlex database tables are added to the list of accessible objects in the CONNX Data Dictionary Manager window.
