Importing from ADABAS FDT
*To import ADABAS FDT:
1. Go to the main online CONNX Data Dictionary Manager page.
You can select CONNX Data Dictionary from the home page or the tile menu on the top right.
2. Browse to the CDD you want to import in and open it.
3. Click the Import button.
4. In the Import Type window, select ADABAS FDT from the dropdown menu and click OK.
5. In the Connection Information step, fill in the connection information in the respective fields and click Next:
a. The server address in the Server field.
b. The username for the server in the Username field.
c. The password for the server in the Password field.
d. The TCP/IP port in the TCP/IP Port field.
e. The database ID in the Database ID field.
f. Select a destination database from the dropdown menu. If you don't select a database, the destination database will default to a new one.
g. Turn the Use TLS/SSL option on if you want to use that functionality.
6. In the Import Properties step, choose whether to enumerate all ADABAS files by toggling the option on or off.
*If you are importing multiple files, set the option to on and enter a number for the maximum ADABAS file number in the respective field.
*If you are importing a single file, set the option to off and enter the specific Adabas file number in the respective field.
7. If you are using ADASCR, enter your ADASCR password in the ADASCR Password field and click Next.
8. In the Table Selection step, mark the tables you want to import in the Available Table(s) pane and press the arrow pointing to the right to move them to the Selected Table(s) pane. Click Next when you are done.
You can use the search field in the Available Table(s) pane to filter the list of tables.
You can mark all tables in a pane by clicking the checkmark next to the Available Table(s) or Selected Table(s) entry.
You can move tables back from the Selected Table(s) pane by marking the tables and clicking the arrow pointing to the left.
9. In the Adabas COUNT Selection step, enter the number of maximum occurences for each field in the Max Count column.
You can use the Update Multiple Fields option to set the number of maximum occurences for all fields at the same time. To do so, set the option to on, input the number in the new field and click Apply to All Selected.
10. Click Done to finish the import procedure.
