Assigning Grouping to a Query
You can achieve grouping in a query by moving column headers within the query table.
*To begin grouping:
1. Select a column to group by in the query results pane.
2. Drag and drop the column in the Drag a column header here to group by that column pane. That pane is located right above the table grid.
In this example, dragging the EmployeeID column to the "Drag a column header here to group by that column" pane will group the query by the contents of that column.
The query is grouped by the contents of that column.
3. Click the plus sign to the left of the column name to view the group records.
You can expand more than one group at the same time.
4. Click the minus sign to the left of the column name to close the group view.
5. To ungroup columns, drag and drop the column from the group pane back to the results grid.
