Adding a DSN
The JDBC data source name creation tool allows you to create data source names (DSNs).
To add a DSN:
1. Go to the main online CONNX Configuration Manager page.
You can select CONNX Configuration Manager from the home page or the tile menu.
2. Select the JDBC DSN tab to open the JDBC DSN creation tool.
3. Select either the 64 bit JDBC DSNs or 32 bit JDBC DSNs tab depending on the DSN you want to add.
4. Click Add DSN.
5. Enter a name for the data source in the Data Source Name field.
6. Enter a description of the DSN in the Description field.
7. In the CONNX Data Dictionary field, click Browse and browse for the CONNX data dictionary to use.
8. In the Application dropdown menu, you can Connect to all databases, Connect to selected databases, or Connect on demand.
When you select Connect to selected databases, you can select one or more databases in the CDD.
9. Click OK.
