Activating a License Offline
If the computer running the License server service does not have internet access, you use the CONNX license activation web page to activate a license.
To activate a license offline, you have to generate an authentication code through the License Administrator tool and then use that authentication code to generate an activation code on the CONNX license activation web page. You then use the activation code to activate the license on your License server.
To activate a license offline:
1. Go to the main online CONNX Configuration Manager page.
You can select CONNX Configuration Manager from the home page or the tile menu.
2. Select the Licenses tab to open the License Administrator tool.
3. Connect to a license server.
When you select the Licenses tab, the License Administrator automatically connects to the last used license server.
4. Click the Offline License Activation button.
5. Fill the license serial number in the Serial Number field.
The License Administrator generates an authentication code.
Keep the License Administrator tab open. If you close it, you have to generate a new activation code.
7. In the CONNX license activation web page, copy over or type the following:
The same
Serial Number you entered in the License Administrator tool.
The
Hardware Code of your license server. You can find it in the
Hardware Code field of the License Administrator.
Enter your
Company Name.
Enter your
License Code.
The authentication code that you generated with the License Administrator.
8. Click Generate Activation Code.
9. Copy over the activation code that you generated through the CONNX activation web page to the Activation Code field in the License Administrator tab.
If the codes are correct, the Expiration Date, # of Users, and CPU/MSU Limit fields will be populated with the information from your license.
10. Click Activate.
The license is installed and activated on your license server.
