CONNX Data Integration Suite 14.8.0 | Release Notes | Version 14.7 | Critical Changes for 14.7

Critical Changes for 14.7
This section lists critical changes in the current release that require action or introduce important changes in the product behavior.
*New Installer
To install Software AG CONNX, now you download only one installation file. The Software AG and CONNX installation files are merged into a single CONNX installation file. The new installer has all of the functions included in the former two separate installers.
*System DSNs for imports
The Data Dictionary Manager of the REST server does not suppor user or file DSNs for imported data. Use only system DSNs for imported data. Software AG does not recommend using user account DSNs even when the REST server runs in the user account for which the DSN is registered.
*Support for System Network Architecture
CONNX no longer supports the System Network Architecture.
*New name for the Open Systems Event Replicator
In the new installer, the "Open Systems Event Replicator" is now renamed to "InstantdbSync". The InstantdbSync tool functions in the same way as the former event replicator.
*Support for Oracle, MySQL, and SQL Server sources in InstantdbSync
The Oracle and MySQL sources for replication with InstantdbSync have been removed. In addition, the SQL Server source has been deprecated.
*CONNX REST Server port
By default the 64-bit CONNX REST Server listens on port 9502. If the port needs to be changed, Software AG does not recommend using port 9501. To fix a previous error, if the 64 bit CONNX REST Server port is set to 9501 when CONNX is reinstalled, it will change the port to 9502.
*End-of-life of custom CONNX objects
The custom CONNX objects that were created specifically for SQL Server Integration Server 2012 and SQL Server Integration Server 2014 have reached their end-of-life and have been removed. This change does not affect the functions you perform with the DataSync Change Data Capture Transform.
