ArchiMate® 3.x is supported from ARIS 10 SR1 onward. It is included by default in ARIS Connect Server. For ARIS Design Server the ArchiMate extension Pack is required. After import of the ArchiMate 3.0 or ArchiMate 3.1 filter, additional 23 ArchiMate Viewpoint model types will be available in the ARIS Method.
Warning
If a filter with the same GUID already exists, it will be overwritten. To merge filters first duplicate the current filter, then import the older version of the filter. The two versions can be merged afterwards.
Prerequisite
You have access to the folder Content/ArchiMate 3/3.0 or Content/ArchiMate 3/3.1 on the ARIS installation media.
You have
privileges.Roles and Project room management privileges can be assigned to invited users.
The Viewer role enables users to view models of databases for whose groups the users have access rights. These users can also exchange information about database contents with other users. This means that these users use databases for review and information purposes.
The Designer role enables users to create, edit, and delete models in databases for whose groups they have access rights. This means that these users edit databases. These users can also exchange information about database contents with other users. The Designer role can be extended by the Designer SAP. role.
Users with Project room management privileges can manage project rooms, for example, invite users, assign licenses, and create or import databases. These users thus ensure that the project room users are provided with an optimal working environment. Project room management privileges can also configure method contents, conventions, and databases. And they also have access to the Administration section of Collaboration.
Users with the Architect role are automatically granted Project room management privileges. They can start ARIS Advanced Architect. The Architect role can be extended with the roles Architect Business Strategy, Architect EAM, and Architect SAP.
