Concepts
Two basic entities can be configured and manipulated in EMM: hosts and components. Hosts refer to personal computers, workstations or servers, running Solaris, Linux or Windows, which have Apama installations. In addition these machines must have had the Sentinel Agent (see Sentinel Agents) installed on them and it must be running. Managing hosts describes the facilities provided by EMM for dealing with hosts.
Components refer to Apama event correlators and IAF adapters. Apama components can be run and manipulated by EMM on any host that is running the Sentinel Agent. Managing components describes the facilities provided by EMM for dealing with components.
