If you have a proxy configuration, ensure that the proxy is bypassed for localhost and any hosts that the proxy cannot access. An incorrect proxy configuration can prevent Software AG Designer to connect to a correlator when a project is started. It is recommended to set Window > Preferences > General > Network Connections > Active Provider to Direct if you experience issues connecting to a correlator from Software AG Designer.

In the case of a network timeout, a warning message is written to the correlator log indicating that the connection timed out communicating with host:port after a timeout of n seconds. If this occurs, check the status of the network and ensure that this machine, and any other machines it is connected to, have sufficient CPU or memory resources.
