Additional Adabas Utilities available in Expert Utilities page
In addition to usual password login, users can choose to use passphrase to login to a secured Adabas database, Entire Net-work Kernel or Audit Server on z/OS.
When accessing either of them, a login screen appears and users can choose via radio button whether a password or passphrase will be entered.
For online Adabas-Linux databases, there is a new link on the left navigation panel to filter and display commands and I/Os rate on the database so that users can monitor and analyze the health KPIs of a database. The KPIs can be downloaded into CSV or JSON output file for further analysis. Besides that, charts can be plotted based on date time ranges.
Additional Adabas Utilities such as ADAPRI, ADAVFY, ADAINV, ADAPLP, ADACLP, ADAERR, ADAFRM and ADAREC can be executed on Adabas on Open Systems from the Expert Utilities page. As Expert Utilities can be executed from any database, hence, for improved accessibility, the menu has been moved from a specific database to the left Navigation panel which is open for any database.
SORT and TEMP containers can be specified when creating a new database, or from the Container List page for Adabas on Open systems.
In addition to seeing the last timestamp of full backup and delta save from a browser, Delta Save can be installed, removed, disabled, as well as the Delta Save Logging Area can be changed with Adabas Manager.
Note
Delta Save can only be enabled by performing a normal full save (ADASAV SAVE database)
that contains the entire database.
Cache statistics (Cast-out / Directory, Individual Cache Block and Publishing Requests), Lock statistics, and File statistics are displayed and can be refreshed.
Replicator definitions such as Database-IDs, Destinations, Format Buffers, Input queues, Subscriptions and Transaction filters can be added, reviewed, modified or deleted. In addition, there is a Health Check diagram, which conveniently shows the status (active/inactive) and allows to activate/deactivate, or open/close the sources and targets.
