Adabas Response Codes and Subcodes
Adabas Service for Java processing errors are reported back to the application using response code 244 along with a subcode uniquely identifying the error.
The subcode conforms to the Chhh 2-byte hexadecimal format where:
*C is the category of subcode depending on which of the Adabas Service for Java components reported the problem.
*hhh represents a unique error code within each category.
The following table displays the subcode range applicable to each category and the corresponding Error Code table, which explains the meaning of each hhh error code.

If an RSP244 subcode that is not in any of the above ranges or not in the Error Code table corresponding to the category is returned to the application, contact your Software AG technical support representative.

*an RC=00000hhh value in the AJZ002E process initialization error message.

The following table lists the meanings of the error code hhh as reported by an RSP244 subcode whose format conforms to the value x1hhh.

Unable to open a file (for example DDCARD).
This RSP244 subcode is accompanied by an AJZC01E console message, which displays a 4-byte hexadecimal value in the format xhhhh7001. The value hhhh is the return code from the associated system call.
