Before progressing with the installation of Adabas Encryption, make sure your system meets the requirements described in System Requirements.
To install Adabas Encryption, complete the steps below:
The following data sets are delivered with Adabas Encryption:

Adabas is a prerequisite for Adabas Encryption so if the Adabas load libraries are not already available on disk then refer to the Installation section of the Adabas for Mainframes documentation.
Apply any necessary zaps from any subsequent ADAvrs.MVSZnnn datasets (if they have been provided).
Verify you have prepared and installed the AEZ product license file, as described in the Installation and License section of the corresponding version of the Adabas for Mainframes release notes.
To reference the license file in Adabas nuclei and utility jobs, complete the following steps:
Make sure any previously created AEZLIC load module is inaccessible to your nuclei and utility jobs. The nucleus or utility first tries to load AEZLIC and, if unsuccessful, it reads from a dataset defined to the DD statement DDLAEZ.
Update your Adabas nuclei and utility jobs to reference the license.
Note
Forty days before the license expires (thirty if your MLC is version 1.3.8 or lower),
license check failure messages are produced. Your software product will still function,
but these messages warn you that it is time to obtain a new license.
