The CONNX environment variable search logic first searches for variables defined in the CNXPARMS PDS member, and then queries the environment variables stored in the CNXCFG VSAM KSDS file. To define persistent environment variables across multiple instances of the CNXVSAM/CNXVSCT started task(s) or batch job(s), use the CNXCFG REXX exec file.
