Overview
Adabas Pre-Compiler execution commands cover the whole set of Adabas Direct Call commands. Each Direct Call Command matches an equivalent Adabas Pre-Compiler command.
In general, every command starts with a @ and ends with a period or a semicolon, according to the host language conventions. Most Adabas Pre-Compiler commands require the nnnn specification for establishing the relationship with the set of buffers previously defined by @ADADCL command. Some special-purpose commands do not require the nnnn specification, for example @CLOSE. These commands use a special control block defined by the first @ADADCL command.
The following are the most commonly used execution commands. The enhanced functions are described in Detailed Syntax.
