This option allows for connecting the @ADADCL statement to a specific database no matter of the default database at execution time. This option may be used if the application needs to access more than one database or if the logical file number in Predict is different from the physical file number in the specified database.

The DBID parameter allows for selecting the database required for this statement. The user should supply the database name as defined in Predict and Adabas Pre-Compiler will take the database id from the database record. It will also check that the file specified in the @ADADCL statement is linked to this database in the Predict definition and will take the physical file number from that link.
