The following changes are planned for future releases of Adabas:
A setting of "5" for ADARUN parameter CLOGLAYOUT (CLOGLAYOUT=5) will no longer be supported in a future version of Adabas. The default value for the ADARUN CLOGLAYOUT parameter will also change. (CLOGLAYOUT=8 will continue to be supported).
Effective with Adabas Version 8.3, only APS version 3.3.1 fix pack 12 and above will be supported.
Adabas Version 8.2 SP5 and earlier versions of Adabas only run with APS 2.7.2. After relinking some modules, Adabas 8.2 SP5 can run with APS 3.3 fix pack 12 or above. The sample link jobs LNKAPS33 (to support UES with APS 3.3) and LNKTCP33 (to support APS 3.3. in a TCP/IP environments) are provided in the sample Adabas jobs library.
Note:
Modules linked using APS 3.3 libraries are no longer compatible with
APS 2.7.2.
The default setting of the REVREL keyword for the Adabas link globals table (LGBLSET) will change from "45" to "46" in a future version of Adabas (after Adabas 8.2 SP4).
