Adabas Manager Configuration

The Adabas Manager Configuration panel allows you to enter your license key for the Adabas Manager Enterprise Edition on mainframes and deactivate/activate the license for your version of Adabas on Open Systems; you also have to define the location for large output files of Adabas Manager's Long Running Utilities.

Start of instruction setTo view the Adabas Manager Configuration panel:

  1. Select Adabas Manager in tree-view and right-click it.

  2. Select Configuration in the menu.

    The Adabas Manager Configuration panel is displayed.

Start of instruction setTo enter your Adabas Manager mainframe license key file:

  1. Display the Adabas Manager Configuration panel.

    The current license file name is displayed. If the license key field is empty, no license file is active and Adabas Manager is running in Standard Edition mode.

    Note:
    Click Display in the Configuration panel to view a current license file text.

  2. Click Modify to browse to the new license file and to activate it.

  3. After selecting the new license key file click OK to activate it or Cancel to return to the Configuration panel.

Start of instruction setTo deactivate your Adabas for Open Systems license:

  1. Display the Adabas Manager Configuration panel.

  2. Press Deactivate for the version you wish to deactivate.

    The Deactivate License panel is displayed.

    Caution:
    If you proceed with the deactivation, the license key will be deleted; before you confirm the deactivation, ensure that you have a copy of the license key in a safe location or you will not be able to activate your version of Adabas for Open Systems again.

  3. Click OK or Cancel to return to the Configuration panel.

Start of instruction setTo activate your Adabas for Open Systems license:

  1. Display the Adabas Manager Configuration panel.

  2. Press Activate for the version you wish to activate.

    The Activate License panel is displayed.

  3. Browse to the location where your license is stored.

  4. Click OK or Cancel to return to the Configuration panel.

The System Management Hub job monitor receives the output of Adabas Manager's Long Running Utilities. In case of very large reports, Adabas Manager only sends the first and last lines to the job monitor; the complete output is written to the location defined in this panel. You can also modify the number of lines that should be displayed by the job monitor.

Start of instruction setTo modify the Job Monitor parameters:

  1. Display the Adabas Manager Configuration panel.

  2. Press Modify and browse to a location where you want the output of the long running utilities to be written.

  3. Enter the number of lines to be displayed by the job monitor (500 is the maximum value).

  4. Click OK or Cancel to return to the Configuration panel.
