This section provides an overview of the enhancements provided with Adabas Vista version 7.4.
Adabas Vista Online Services (SYSAVI) has been enhanced to provide appropriate support for the new features provided with version 7.4.2.
All Adabas Vista messages are now in mixed case for compatibility with Adabas version 7.4.2.
Adabas Parallel Services (formerly Adabas SMP) allows the full utilization of multiple-engine processors by allowing a single physical database to be accessed simultaneously by up to 31 nuclei. The capabilities of Adabas Parallel Services extend beyond that of previous releases in that all nuclei in a cluster may process updates concurrently.
Adabas Vista 7.4.2 provides full support for Adabas Parallel Services whilst maintaining support for Adabas SMP.
Adabas Vista 7.4.2 is compatible with Adabas SQL Server.
