Software AG Installer 10.3 | Critical Requirements and Recommendations for Successful Installation and Uninstallation | Access Requirements

Access Requirements
*If you are going to install on a Windows system, create a user account for performing the installation, give the account Windows system administrator privileges, and install as that user. On a Windows 8, Windows Server 2012, or later system, if you want to use the jar file rather than the exe to start the installer, you must execute the jar file from within a command shell that has system administrator privileges. The installation user will own all files you install.
*If you are going to install on a UNIX system, create a non-root user account for performing the installation and install as that user. The installation user will own all files you install.
*If you are going to install new products into an existing Software AG installation directory (that is, a directory that contains Software AG products from the same release), use the same user account to install the new products.
*The user account must have full read and write permissions to the directory in which you are going to install your products.
*Use the same user account to uninstall products.
